Mohamed Ali Named Wiper Deputy Party Leader

Wiper Patriotic Front Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali as the party’s new Deputy Party Leader, in a move expected to strengthen the party’s political presence along the Coast and nationally.

‎The announcement was made at the Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka (SKM) Command Centre, where Kalonzo addressed party officials, leaders and supporters. The appointment comes at a time when political parties are positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election and seeking to consolidate their support across different regions.

‎Kalonzo described Mohamed Ali as a capable and energetic leader whose experience in public service and strong connection with the people would be an asset to the Wiper party. He said the appointment was aimed at broadening the party’s leadership and giving greater representation to different communities and regions.

‎Mohamed Ali, who has represented Nyali Constituency in Parliament, thanked Kalonzo and the Wiper leadership for the confidence placed in him. He pledged to work closely with the party leadership to strengthen its structures, mobilize supporters and promote unity within the party.

‎Ali said his new responsibility would require teamwork and dedication, adding that he was ready to work with leaders and members across the country. He further called on Wiper supporters to remain united as the party prepares for the next electoral contest.

‎The announcement is seen as significant for Wiper, particularly given Mohamed Ali’s political influence in Mombasa and the wider Coast region. His elevation could also signal the party’s efforts to expand its national reach by bringing younger and more energetic leaders into senior positions.
